Shadows of Divine Things

My Photo
Name:
Location: Texas, United States

This site is devoted to theological and philosophical investigations of the spiritual meanings of life, current events, music, spiritual growth, nature, and learning to be attuned to listening to the 'language of God.' The name of this blog comes from one of Jonathan Edwards's journals which he called 'Shadows of Divine Things,' and later renamed 'Images of Divine Things.' As a Christian I am continously on a spiritual journey to grow more into the image of Christ, to understand what it means to be crucified with Christ. To seek the truths of the Christian Faith is of upmost importance, and to know that any truths that are found outside of Christianity are present there because they ultimately point to God. I have an M.A. in theology and apologetics and I completed one year of graduate studies in Philosophy at Marquette University.

The Wealthy and the Poor

These actual events took place in front of the Stock Market on Wallstreet in New York City. For a reference to the facts given in the video see the book referred to below (it is linked for easy access)

I know this is true from direct experience - having worked at one of the largest financial institutions in the world which is privately owned by one of the wealthiest families in the world. For a detailed description of these events read Shane Claiborne's book titled The Irresistible Revolution: Living as an Ordinary Radical."

My name is Zeke, and I'm protestant with many reformed propensities - majored in philo many maoons ago (36 now), but desiring to get back into the "justified true belief" game! I'm a true E.J. Carnell fan, and looking for others who might like to dialogue about his thought, and also all else epistemological/apologetical. Please feel free to email me at eide.z@neu.edu if you would like to communicate - peace brother . . .
